Hi, I asked my reseller for a quote for a SmartView Monitor licence, and they came back with a quote for Eventia Reporter. A bit of Googling suggested that Eventia and SVM are different products, so I've queried it with the reseller and they insist that Eventia Reporter is just what SVM is called these days. Is that correct? Last edited by hammop1; 2007-01-24 at 05:40.

eventia reporter and smartview monitor are NOT same product. edit: Meaning different gui (that do come with regular dashboard pack) and different license.

I think your reseller meant license. License for Eventia reporter (CPMP-EVR) includes license for SVM. I didn't find different license for SVM in pricelist. There is a bundle with Eventia reporter only. Last edited by kva.kva; 2007-01-24 at 05:57.

yepp as kva.kva say u get new features "activated" in SVM (counters on collecting data etc) by purchasing eventia reporter license and ofc all benefits of ER for making actual reports

OK, thanks. What I need is to be able to monitor/troubleshoot VPN tunnels, monitor SecureClient users, that kind of thing. Would I need the Eventia Reporter licence for that? Or is there some other way of doing that?

There are two licensing options. 1'st CPMP-SSV - SmartView Reporter & Monitor for 1 Site with 500 Users, SmartView Reporter & Monitor for 1 Site with Unlimited Users. Why SmartView Reporter - I don't know. But this information from price. 2'nd CPMP-EVR - for 1, 5, 25, 50 and 100 gateways. So there is one limitation (number of gateways).

SVR -- SmartView Reporter is the previous version of... EVR -- Eventia Reporter Both come with a SVM, SmartView Monitor, license as does SmartCenter Pro or SmartCenter Power
