Default Tuning the automatic updates (AV in R65).

Hi all,

How do you separate automatic AV updates in R65? In 61 (for instance) there were separate places for update the built-in AV, VPN-1 Edge AV and so on. Now (in 65) all of them seem to be united in one.

Have a look on the attached file. That’s a screenshot from R61. As you may see, there are 2 places for “Signature update”. One is for VPN-1 Express (the gateway) and another is for VPN-1 Edge appliances. So, if I have no appliances at all I don’t have to configure their update settings. But now (in 65) all the signatures updates, for anything possible – vpn-1 express gateways, vpn-1 edges and web filtering – are placed in a single window (all together). From what I saw – once you’ve turned the automatic updates on – you may configure only the time period between the updates. But I don’t want updates for vpn-1 edges and web filtering – because I have no appliances or web-filtering gateways.

Moreover, because the gateway is trying to update not existing appliances it constantly ends up with an error in the logs. How can turn off those unwanted automatic updates?

Any idea would be appreciated,
Alex.

It’s seems like I’m the only one using R65 : )
Nobody ran into that problem before or nobody has an idea how to solve it?

Have a nice day,
Alex.

Change that, i should have looked closer, the first line says 1gb flash based OR disk based systems, downloading now.

Thanks, if you hadn't said that it was available, i wouldn't have gone and tried again.
