Default blocking file transfer for skype

Hello everyone

We are using NGX R62 in the company. We would like to allow skype

without letting any file transfer. is it possible?

From my understanding the answer is no. Skype uses file transfer over the same connection type (and encrypted the same) as skype voip traffic

Hello NeZiR ,
just found your thread and maybe it's still important for you.

You can block skype filetransfer on the client machine.
To do that, you have to add some registry entries.
(the keys below should be quit self explaining) :)

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Skype\Phone]

"DisableSupernode"=dword:00000001
"ListenHTTPPorts"=dword:00000001
"ListenPort"=dword:0000a112
"DisableApi"=dword:00000000
"DisableFileTransfer"=dword:00000000

where 0=off and 1=on
