| I'm trying to block yahoo messenger and icq, i've checked the boxs for blocking yahoo and icq under the smart defense tab in Smartdashboard but for some reason it's still allowing the traffic through and not even logging it. Am i missing something obvious? I've a valid subscription for smartdefense and it's all upto date. I've 4 enforcement modules and one central management station the management station is running NGX R60 and one of the enforcement modules is on R60 with the rest still on R55 currently. Thanks Col. |

| Some times these connections use http / https. Do you have a proxy in place? You should see the connection in SmartView tracker, even if SmartDefense isn't blocking it. Otherwise thumb through the HFA's regarding *.def files, maybe there's a note in there. Some of the SK's for blocking MSN refer to special changes to HTTP service or Enabling a Web Intelligence variable before you can block MSN traffic. Maybe you need to do something similar. I'd like to know if you find the cause. __________________ Its all in the documentation. |
