Default Web Intelligence issue

Hi All,

I have this error message when I try to install my policy on FW-1 NGX R6 HFA 4 with web intelligence configure :

"Operation failed, installed/uninstall had been improperly terminated"

Checkpoint provide this solution but it's not enough :

To enable successful Security Policy installation, clear the Web Server box under Host Node --> General Properties --> Products >-- Configure Servers for all host nodes, in the SmartDashboard configuration. Then attempt to reinstall the Security Policy.

But when I try to reinstall my policy with the Web server box check,
I still got this error message.

I've heard about a Hotfix, where to find it ?

Thanks,
Kad.

If the security policy will install OK with "web server" un-checked, then you need to purchase a new license for the Web Intelligence features.

Unfortunately you could use "web server" in R55 but in R60 it costs you money to get back the capability you had in R55.

Hi Ray,

I used the correct Web Intelligence license for NGX R6.
And I correctly configure my web server . My web server is protected by my firewall module.
My licence is cpmp-wit-3-ngx....
where the 3 is for 3 web server.

Can someone help ?

Thanks,
Kad.

Hi Kad,

Can you confirm that un-checking all web servers does allow the policy to be pushed succesfully? I'm sorry, I'm not clear on whether that works.

Sorry, I am out of ideas. You might want to open a case with CP. It certainly sounds like a problem with the license or how it's attached.

Take care,

Ray

I don't know what check point says about this problem. However if you copy all the rules in your policy then paste it to a new policy then it should work. It worked for me.

Regards
Eric
