Default Unable to install policy

I have Firewall-1/VPN-1 NG FP3 on RH Linux.

Everything was working fine up until a couple of days ago. I needed to create a certificate to set up a road warrior VPN client. Previously I had only used password authentication, so I had to go into cpconfig option 7 Certificate Authority and set the FQDN. It was localhost.localdomain, so I changed it to <hostname>.<company domain>. I then went and generated a certificate for my VPN client. All good so far.

Now, when I try to install a policy from SmartDashBoard or with cpstop/cpstart, it completes the verification but hangs during the install phase and I have to kill it. The CPU doesn't go 100% and I can still see all the policies in the rulebase so this seems like a different problem to that discussed by roadrunner in a previous post.

I tried changing the FQDN back to localhost.localdomain and the cpstop/cpstart now seems to install the policy OK but it still doesn't work from SmartDashBoard.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Regards,
David Witham
