Hi! I've just migrated our old firewalls (1 windows 2003 smartcenter, 4 ipso 530) to new IBM servers running SPLAT (2 ClusterXL and 1 smartcenter). I would like to rename the Gateway objects, but when I edit the objects the name fields are grayed out. Is it possible at all to rename them? The only object that don't have the namefield grayed out is the smartcenter, but when I try to rename that one it says that I have to detach the license and then enter smartdashboard again and rename it. If I detach the license from the smartcenter I can't enter with the dashboard again?! This is no biggie, just some cosmetic changes. Thank you, Mathias!

Yes I know it’s a MAJOR task in CP that's why I'm asking if it's even possible to do. What I meant was that it's no biggie for ME. The old objects are named after an old standard with location included in the name that don’t match the reality anymore. We still run production on the old machines, so I can experiment / reinstall the new ones as much as I want. /Mathias!

delete gateway and recreate it with new name is the easiest way :) Most due to SIC between mgmt/gw alternative, reset sic, rename, initialize sic again....didnt test it tho

Delete and recreate is not an option, the objects are included in many groups/rules. The SIC is no problem to reset, but as I said the namefield in all four gateway objects is grayed out so I can't even rename them. Can I use dbedit or something?
