What is the maximum checkpoint user password length

I am using NGX R61. what is the maximum password length for a checkpoint administrator if i use checkpoint password to authenticate? How about others authentication? For example, RADIUS?

If you use a SmartCenter with SmartConsole R61_HFA_01, so an administrators password can contain up to 50 characters.
Length of Radius Server's password depends on version Radius Server, I think so. CheckPoint recommends to use a Radius version 2.0 (RFC 2865) because there is a limitation of Radius version 1.0 (RFC 2138). Radius version 1.0 limits authentication to 16 character passwords.

Thx for your information. I did try to set the password over 8 character and i got authentication failed. What's the reason? Also, has anyone use the "change my password" under the manage option. What does it mean? I can't change my checkpoint administrator password in this option.

When I try to change password, I'll get message "New password must contain at least 4 characters and no more 8 characters"

I got the message "Password is incorrect" when i try to change it. Very strange.

I forget - I try with SmartDashboard R62, so I think R61 has the same limitation.

Why? Only different Errors Windows. Different versions - Different messages.

Ha, for me it doesn't work too :) Before it I didn't try to change it, only check password length.
