When I attempt to open my SmartDashboard Icon from the desktop, it opens and then I log in. As it goes through loading, it gets to Loading Objects... and then it just closes. In the Windows Event Viewer, the following message appears: The description for Event ID ( 2 ) in Source ( FireWall-1 ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. The following information is part of the event: Logging in >>>>. Additionally, if I open SmartView Tracker, Log in, and then go to Window > SmartDashboard, it opens correctly. Any ideas? Thanks

Try uninstalling and re-installing. Over the years, I've experienced several wacky issues with the GUI. Some of these problems can be fixed by deleting certain temporary files etc. But, I find it easiest and cleanest to just uninstall and re-install. Normally, it doesn't take very long.

Thanks, I've never gone through the process of reinstalling Smartdashboard before, is there anything I should know before I begin? Are there any files I should back up before hand? Thanks again
