Smartdashboard R70 crashes when loading Smartmap

Hi,

We've recently upgrade (painfully!!) from NGX FP3 -> R62 -> R70. Problem now is that we can only open SmartDashboard in read only mode. If we try to open it in Read/Write it gets as far as loading Smartmap then crashed every time. This happens on my work station on a remote network and also on a work station on the same subnet as the management station.

From what I have read, it may be possible to work around this by disabling Smartmap. I can see in Read Only mode that under gloabl properties, smartmap is enabled but obviously can't change it here.

I've loaded up GuiDBedit.exe but cannot find any option to disable the feature. if i search the db for the word smartmap, it returnd one result, which is the table that contains all the smartmap objects (i think) but no "disable" option.

Does anyone know how I can disable Smartmap through GuiDBedit.exe, or if not, is there a CLI command i can use to disable it?

Global Properties -> properties -> firewall_properties -> totally_disable_VPE
