Default username@pcname is already connected

All,

NG X connecting to windows 2003 management server..
i was logged in to the GUI remotely about 5 days ago through a VPN. since then my laptop has been off the network, powered off, restarted, et cetera.. and now i've gone to connect again and it's got my username (fwadmin) on my laptop (jima) as still being connected!!
because it's NG X i've got the option to disconnect them, but it says disconnect failed

is there something else that could be causing this message??
