Hi All, we are soon going to deploy R-65.We are not sure whether we should go for smartcenter on splat or windows! Kindly suggest.Any known issues with the above mentioned operating systems with R-65. Thanks in advance

Go with the one you're most comfortable with. Which one can you recover the quickest? How much experience do your people have with Windows or Linux? (rhetorical questions) There are no feature or performance differences. SPLAT will be a little cheaper because you won't have to pay for a Windows server license. Ray

The only reason to use windows is if you need it for SAN drivers to store logs on a SAN. You must remember that if your SmartCenter gets compromised, its all over. So unless you REALLY know windows inside and out, and can really lock it down, you shouldn't use it.
