Default where is the activation key need by smartcentre

Hie all,

First things fisrt, I appreciate the assistance I have gotten this far from this forum. Hopefully I will be able to do likewise when I get to the level where my knowldge is of use to others.

For now I have a question. I have followed the instructions on how to install and activate a Checkpoint package on an IP265 device running IPSO4.1.

For me to manage it from smartcentre, I need the SIC activation key. I didnt get anything like that at all?????? (I know in the course I did get it but that was on a Sunbox have no clue if thats got any bearing at all)...

Please help me with how I get the IP256 device managed from a smartcentre. How do I get this key??

YOU make this up yourself. After installing the check point package you run cpconfig and run through the script.

During this it will ask you for the activation key or SIC key, you type in a one time password that you choose.

In the smartdashboard you create an object with the name and IP of the gateway and in the communication button you type in the key that you entered when running the cpconfig script on the gateway.

If you have forgotten what you typed during the cpconfig script then run cpconfig again on the IP265 and reinitialise the Secure Internal Communication, remeber what you type and then type that in the SMARTDashboard object to establish the SIC.
