Default Separate log server?

Our management server has been getting bogged down with the amount of logs so we want to send our logs to a different server. Can we have a separate log server? How would you go about setting that up? Will there be licensing issues?

Default Re: Seperate Log server?

Yes you can have a separate log server, however there are licensing issues. You could have a secondary management server or run a customer logging module (CLM) server. Both of which require the purchase of a license.

If your management server can handle the load (in terms of performance) and has space for more disk, then I would add more disk - much cheaper.
