Default FTP gets Rejected

Hi Everyone ,

In my office we have an application that initates a ftp session to a database . For this we have allowed ftp service from the application server to the database server and we have logged also...

Whenever the application starts the ftp session the packets are rejected in the firewall and not dropped. but when i do a manual ftp from the application server the ftp traffic is going fine. This following information is captured in the log
messege info : Port_Command ended without a newline

I can very well say that it is some issue in the application only. If the issue is with application then when does the packet get reject . Please tell me if iam correct or not

Sridhar
