Default FTP using Voyager

I wanted to know how I can access a FTP server from Voygaer?
I wanted to get access to that for the DST patch. I am running Checkpoint NGX R60.

Thanks.

That doesn't work - any other suggestions?

I thought that through Voyager you can ftp over some files.

Thanks.

If you want to ftp from client to nokia box, make sure you allow ftp access under the security and access.

If you want to frp from voyager to server, click system configuration -> packages -> install packages.

I see now that you wrote from client to nokia.

FTP from Nokia to ftp server:
a)As described above:
ftp client is a standard command/package in an IPSO installation, its always there and it always works.

b) As explained above by Homid, altho it saves the packages downloaded to /opt/packages and not an alternativ directory afaik

FTP from regular client to Nokia box:
Check services enabled via voyager. Ipso comes with ftp daemon which can be enabled if needed.

or even better imo, transfer files via SCP to the box directly encrypted and safe without ftp.

Well I usually login to my Nokia firewall via putty and then ftp to our FTP server. It works for all except this one firewall. Dont know what the issue could be as the logs should accept rule being triggered.

Thanks.
