Default Load balancing for SecureClient

Is anyone using load balancing with their SecureClient? That would be having the SecureClient automatically determine which of two or more available gateways, usually in different locations, the client will connect to.

This is in the CP docs and our CP support provider recommended it as a solution for distributing our 500+ SecureClients over two gateway clusters. I haven't been able to make it work.

The gateways are at R60 HFA04 and the SmartCenters are at R65 HFA02. SecureClient is R60.

Thanks in advance.

I've deployed MEP a few times and it works fine, when the main gateway is unavailable the clients just try the backup one.

Our home office is a clustered firewall. When a secureclient user connects to our firewall, it randomly selects one of the firewall appliances to connect to. Each appliance has it's own secureclient VPN IP pool for those users connected to it.

Hopes this helps,
Tomahawk
