Hi everyone. Because SecureClient is not for sale any more I ask support of checkpoint about free using. You can check my email below, of course I have the account in Enterprise Software Subscription contract Original Communication ---------------------- SecureClient - for free?? Hello At the moment we are using securemote to connect to Firewall. Because we want to use OfficeMode and access to corporate's DNS we are going to buy SecureClient. Unfortunately we could not do it now. SecureClient is not for sale anymore. So, Can we use secureclient for our needs for free? We do not use the desktop policy. The answer from checkpoint ------------------------ Thank you for contacting Check Point Account Services. I received your request for access to our secure site to download the vpn client. Yes, you may use the vpn client for free, however, you must create a user center account and request temp access if you do not have an Enterprise Software Subscription contract. I searched our database records and could not locate your user log in/email address. In order for me to grant you temp access to our secure site, you will need to create a user center log on. To create a user center account go to Check Point Software: Firewall, VPN, Network Security, Pointsec Disk Encryption and Data Security and Security Management, select my account, select new customers signup now and complete the user profile information. Once you have created your user log on, you may submit a request for temp access to the secure site for downloading the vpn client. Let me know if I can be of further assistance.

This was just someone that didn't read the question. A lot of questions have come in about SecuRemote not being available w/o a support contract (new export restrictions, this is being worked on). SecureClient is available as part of CPES-SA. That will license both SecureClient and SNX, as well the old Integrity and anti-malware. If you are only going to use SC, contact your sales rep. I believe we can still order the old SKU or at least make other arrangements.

My understanding from last Check Point Update here in the UK was that SecureClient SKU would still be available to existing customers that have existing SecureClient installation. New Customers that have no existing SecureClient will need to purchase the replacement SKU which is the Secure Access, mentioned by chillyjim.

Hi, A few questions.... - Why are Check Point retiring SecureClient and when is the official EOS/EOCS dates? - What is the replacement for it and how does it compare in price/functionality? Regards Testing-123

SecureClient has been replaced with Check Point Endpoint Security (CPES) - Secure Access (SA). From a client standpoint, this product supplies all of the IPSec VPN and Authentication functionality of SecureClient. It does not support SCV checks or a desktop policy. Additionaly it supports network firewall, application control, SmartDefense, Compliance Checking (e.g. the former Integrity product) and anti-malware (Anti-spyware and Anti-virus). From a licensing standpoint, in addition to the full client license you also receive a matching SecureClient stand-alone license and a matching SSL Network Extender (SNX) license. From a price standpoint, CPES-SA is sold by tier per-unit (No more packs of 25). US list price as of today is: 1-99 $60/seat 99-4,999 $50/seat 5,000+ $30/seat Finally, Secure Access is available as part of the CPES Total Security bundle which also includes Full Disk Encryption (FDE/Pointsec4PC) and "Port Protection and Media Encryption" (PPME/Pointsec Protector) for $165/125/85 per seat (Which is the same as buying FDE & PPME seperatly) |
