Hi all! I read all threads concerning the "Gateway is not responding" issue, but i didn't find a real solution. The problem is the usual: using SecureClient (Windows Vista version) i've a "Gateway is not responding" message after the authentication process. The fact is that: - I've this problem only on 2 notebook (the other 30 machines, Vista or XP, work fine); - I found that the problem disappear just disabling the OfficeMode option (great solution but not applicable, i need OfficeMode). Someone had the same problem? Thanks in advance. Bye, Alfonso.

I have had this issue with SecureClient R60_HFA_02 as well. It has been my observation that the clients that fail with this error continually fail with this error despite all of my best efforts to resolve the issue: uninstalls, reinstalls, cpclean, reboots, etc. have all failed to yield positive results. I started noting an increase in these failures when CP went from an EXE installer for SC to an MSI installer. I know there are many here in the forums who feel that this installer package change is at least partially responsible since MSI relies on the Windows installer. What causes the connection failure is still unknown. My Help Desk/workstations team has had to re-image more than a few laptops because SC is just not working (same message: Gateway not responding). Nothing short of this seems to work. Edit: I forgot to mention, as you stated your results, I can confirm the erratic behavior. Just recently, my Help Desk imaged 30 identical laptops, 28 worked and 2 would NEVER connect. Keeping in mind, the same image was deployed to identical hardware, why 2 out of 30? Well, they re-imaged the 2 and then 1 worked. They re-imaged the 1 and now it works also. Not 1 single part of the process was altered throughout. I know this is not comforting, but it is reality unfortunately. __________________ There's no place like 127.0.0.1 Last edited by lammbo; 2008-04-15 at 07:14.

There are sometimes issues with PPoE connections and OM addresses (These often include DSL and Cellular modems). Check to make sure you have the latest and greatest SecureClient with its HF's. If you do and you are still not getting an OM address, please let support know.
