DNS registration failure

I've got a strange error, which I am unable to locate

We are using R60A on the Nokia Platform
We have just attempted to serve the DHCP for remote clients from our DHCP server rather than the Nokia appliance but....
When enabling the om_extended_dhcp_params flags, the full qualified name of the Client is registered, but the first 3 characters of the name are missing...

Any ideas?
