| Hi all, currently I'm working on our preconfigured Secure Client installer. I'm making very good progress but I'm curious about the hotspot registration mode. My current situation: - I do not block any outgoing traffic with the integrated desktop policy firewall. So the users could open the hotspot welcome page and log in without problems, while they are not connected to the VPN. - As soon as the VPN connection is established, all traffic is routed via the gateway (hub mode). - The users can select between the "classic" connection mode as well as the visitor mode (tunneled via https). What exactly does the Hotspot registration do? Only allow outgoing traffic to the ports mentioned in the config for a couple of minutes? In this case, I guess my users will not need it at all? They could simply registrate to the hotspot and after that start their VPN connection? Or do I miss the point here? Thanks for your assistance in advance! :-) Regards, Michael |

| Hi Michael, You understand it perfectly. Some people block HTTP/HTTPS when not connected by VPN, so the hotspot registration feature lets them get a connection temporarily so they can register or click the EULA scrteen. Ray |
