Default SecureClient Mobile

Hi

I am looking at using the SecureClient Mobile edition for Windows Mobile 5/6.

I have read the admin guide and have a question or two....

I understand it uses an SSL VPN to connect. So how will that work for Telnet and RDP sessions from that device back to servers in the office?

I have NGX R55 HFA_18 at present with 2x Nokia IP 350. I noted that there are better options in NGX R62 and above can anyone confirm if they are using it on R55 or R62 please?

I already use SecureClient for my laptop users, will there be any config issues. Checkpoint docs appear to suggest that R55 HFA_10 or above is ok but again I would value anyones experience on this.

Ben

The SSL VPN works just like it does for SNX, all TCP/UDP should work.

R65 VPN-1 or Connectra R62 is the best option for SCM

Thanks for that.

All though I have checked and my Nokia support R65 I am always reluctant to go with the latest and greatest.

Does it work under R55 and R62 ok?

Is there a particular reason why you suggest R65 or is just because it has the best management etc.

Thanks

go with r65.
Works good, and very good management. No decent management exists for r60 etc and involved a lot of "hacking" to get it to work.

Hi

Maybe its me but I have logged into the support site and searched for R65 downloads and nothing for Windows or IPSO.

Is it released fully yet?

They messed up with the look and design on the site.
When you login to support site there shoud be link called "subscription downloads". There you can download it.

r65 has been out since march/april so it has been out for a while

ok I found it thanks.

Shame it does not work on R55 it would save an upgrade as I only need 5 devices to use it :(

I will install it and have a look.

Thanks.
