Hello, and thank you for reading this post. Here is my problem: + I want to install SecuRemote on a Windows XP SP2. + The internet connection is broadband always activated via a router (192.168.1.1). + The connection is always on line, not requiring pppoe auth on the computer (the ppoe auth is done by the router. + Behind the routeur I have 2 computers (192.168.1.2 and 192.168.1.3). + Only one of them (192.168.1.2) requires SecuRemote to be installed. The installation going well. But after the reboot SecuRemote is not launched. When I go in the console (services.msc) and i try to launch manually the service an informational windows appears saying that "this service has nothing to deal with so it stops, like for exemple logs". I try to uninstall several times (via CPClean) and reinstall different version of SecuRemote (R56, R60, ...), but the problem occurs each time. Can someone help me or give me come directions to look for? Thank you! PS. Sorry if my english is not perfect. PPS. Sorry I just see that a thread dealing about the same problem as i have is already open (secure remote service) but no response is given, and I tried to explain more clearly the problem so it can help. I create NAT forwarding rules on ports: UDP: 500, 2746, 4500 TCP: 264 But does a firewall rule can make the service not starting? For me if firewall or router rule is on it ca juste avoid SecuRemote to connect, not to start no? Thanks!

Hi can you confirm this is just an issue on this node....if you install the Secure remote software on another node does it work? You could also try another uninstall then install on a different user profile? what do results do you get then?

A third-party firewall / Anti-virus / VPN client may prevent check point services from starting
