Hello everyone. I'm glad I found this site. Does anyone know of a way to have the secure client remember not just the username but also the password for a user? We need to avoid having the users know the vpn password.

There is a feature called Auto Local Logon where you can configure the Windows Username and Password and the SecureClient Username and Password. Take a look at that, you need to reboot the machine for the settings to take affect. Start SecureClient and then rightl click the icon in the system tray. Then select options and is the 3rd option down.

Just curious, but what possible scenario could exist where the users should not know - and why would you want to automate access to a secured site? This is very bad security practice. I would like to suggest that you should look into something simple to setup like RADIUS authentication. With RADIUS, the users will use their domain login and password (I am assuming you have a windows domain). __________________ There's no place like 127.0.0.1

I see no problem in giving the users the certificate password. We're using SDL. My boss (IT Manager) doesn't want the Secureclient login window popping up after the Windows domain logon. I don't see a problem with it but I have to do as I'm told.
