I had a problem "No license to manage QoS express sites"

Hello CP NGX Team,

I have just installed IPSO_wrapper_R65.tgz, VPN-1_R65_HFA_02_wrapper.ipso on IP350 and SmartCenter NGX R65 on Win 2003 server with license is VPN-1 and FloodGate-1 Gateway with Performance Pack for unlimited number of users; version NGX; 3DES. VPN-1 Express CI Gateway to SmartCenter for 5 gateways tomorrow.

When I installed rules policy for QoS then I had a problem “No license to manage QoS express sites”, I didn’t trouble this problem. Anybody help me.

What SMARTCenter license do you have. Is it one bundled with the Express CI gateway as that is a SMARTCenter Express which I believe does not do Floodgate.

I contacted with Account Service of checkpoint about license for QoS and they said that " I had fully license for FloodGate-1 with my product ".

Yes that license would have Floodgate.


VPN-1 Express CI Gateway to SmartCenter for 5 gateways product would not have this.

Can you clarify which license you actually have on your actual firewall.

Relicense your license as from your description I suspect that you have upgraded from Express to PowerUTM, which will require a new license to be generated and downloaded.

Solution: Check VPN-1 Power instead of VPN-1 UTM in the Check Point firewall object even you may have got an UTM license.
