Default Different Upload/Download Speeds

Hello All:

This question is in relation to NG R55. I am unable to achieve different upload/download speeds for a particular host. Although upload speed rule works, the download speed does not seemed to be limited. Here are the rules I have.

RULE 1 - UPLOAD - Works!:

SOURCE: Mycomputer
Destination: Any
Service: Any
ACTION: Limit: 246 Kbps, Guarantee: 4Kbps
TRACK: LOG
INTALL ON: OUT - eth0
TIME: Any
----
RULE 2 - DOWNLOAD - DOES NOT WORK:

SOURCE: Any
DESTINATION: Mycomputer
SERVICE: Any
ACTION: Limit: 128 Kbps, Guarantee: 4Kbps
TRACK: LOG
INTALL ON: IN - eth0
TIME: Any
----

RULE 3 - Default Rule - Weight 10 - Any - Any - Any

Any suggestions will be appreciated. Inbound/outbound rates on the bandwidth is 10 Mb.

Thanks.

Default Re: Different Upload/Download Speeds

Yes, its normal situation, you and your gateway don't have any influence on traffic send to your client trough gateway from external interface (input direction).
If you must limit traffic receive from external network to your client try use QoS on internal interface.
