| Hello I have a IP265 diskless appliance with a blank external flash card. What should I do in order to get IPSO installed? When I power on the appliance I get the following: ---- clip ---- clip ---- clip ---- clip ---- clip ---- clip ---- F... E... D... C... B... A... 9... 8... 7... 6... 5... 4... 3... 2... 1... 0... Nokia Baja BIOS bootstrap loader, Version 2.02 Copyright (c) 1997-2005, Nokia, Inc. Baja motherboard type 6262, Manu. Rev 5, Board Rev 1 CPU Id 0x06B0 stepping 4, Rev 0, L2 Cache 256KB 512MB SDRAM memory DIMM 0 256 MBytes, Single Sided DIMM 1 256 MBytes, Single Sided No valid boot devices found Usage: [kernelname] [-cvw] Boot: ---- clip ---- clip ---- clip ---- clip ---- clip ---- clip ---- Any ideas? | Hi, If there's no bootable device, you may have a 265 that's got a fauty internal CF card. There were a number of STI flash 7.2 cards I think that will be replaced with an STI version 8 card free of charge if you're in support. The external card is for logging etc. or for use to install some of the HFA's, not for the OS. Check to see if you can find the serial number, let Nokia know, and they will probably send you out a new flash card - I get to them via the UK TAC number (+44 1252 868900) if they confirm it's a suspect card. If you can't see any "WD0" device, I'd think abotu 1024MB, then I'd say the card's a gonner :-( Tommo |
