Dear colleagues! I would like to know whether it's possible to configure multiple VRIDs in IPSO simple mode VRRP configuration. I checked this from support.nokia.com and found a solution stating it's not possible. Still I have done that kind of configuration myself by using "add mcvr" -clish-command (at that time I didn't know it wasn't "an official" way to do it...). I'm now wondering whether that's a supported configuration or not or is it platform specific somehow? Do you have any experience on that, please? __________________ CCSA, CCSE, CCSE+ CCNA, CCNP, CCIP, CCSI

I don't understand why this is hard. I have to admit that I only started using simplified mode recently, having had a strong preference for the legacy mode that i originally learned. Nevertheless, on a quick look it seems like IPSO 4.2 keeps "Create a new Monitored-Circuit Virtual Router:" at the top of the page for creating new VRIDs even after you created the first one. I tried. It works fine.

Hi, I have not configured this personally but have seen it on customer firewalls configured on IPSO 3.9. IMHO you just have to be careful and thoughtful with how failover will work in relation to FW-1. It can useful if you want to load-balance without having to purchase IPSO clustering. It would be interesting to find out whether it is a supported configuration. Regards Testing-123

It should be supported officially, you may have a look at the Voyager user guide ---'How VRRP works' Multi-VRID is supported. BTW, NOKIA IP Clustering is also free for end users, no need purchase separately.
