Default IPSO development environment

So, Im guessing I might need to stick to using IPSO on that pair of ip650's I freed up. Now, I want to know of any pointers for setting up a build environ for IPSO. Any pointers on how gnukia and perl 5.6 port were done for ipso? Also, since Ive only used these nokia boxes with ipso and checkpoint, Ive never installed outside packages(never tried gnukia, never tried perl port), so do those packages work on later ipso releases(3.8+; I recall both gnukia and perl port were built for the early 3.x ipso releases). Basically, my goal is to compile some packages I can run on ipso(I wont be running this pair as a firewall).

Thanks, and sorry for for bugging :)

Call Nokia, they have a resolution that they can provide to you with a list of unsupported packages that can be installed on the appliance. This includes perl, mrtg, squid, netcat, bash, tcsh.
