I am currently running CheckPoint R55 on a Nokia IP330 with management and enforcement modules on the same device. I want to separate the mangement functions onto a dedicated management server, buy a second IP330 and run both of these IP330s in High Availability mode. I have already received all the necessary licensing and hardware costs from my reseller. My question is this: what is the standard procedure for removing the managment module? Will the enforcement module have to be set up again with a new firewall policy when I do this? Is there a way to export my current firewall rulebase and re-import it into the new management server? Thanks in advance for any help. Last edited by fishflaps; 2006-04-03 at 14:04.

I can't seem to find it now and I have to run for a plane. If you have a support contract, open a call and there is a step-by-step document on how to do this. If you don't have support with nokia or chkp, and no one else finds the doc, message me and remind me to dig it up. This one should be in the FAQ.

There was at least 3 such discussions in last few month here. You will find a lot of suggestions is the user posts. Use search keywords migration, migrate, distributed, etc or just browse the recent messages. If the tread describing SPLAT migration this is also can be applied to you situation. P.S. Give as a note if you fail to find this discussions.
