Default Problem with NAT for private connection

Hi all, I have an FTP server that nats out to the internet, however there is also a private connection also requiring the use of the FTP server. Problem is that the NATted internet address is being returned to their router and being subsequently dropped. Any ideas on how I ensure that packets originating from their private network to the internal ftp server don't get Natted back to them?

Using Checkpoint NGXR62 on Linux.
