Default Double NAT

Hello,

I am looking for some help on double Nating. My goal is to have the packet go through the NAT process twice if this is possible. If there is another way to solve this problem I would also be glad to hear some alternatives as well.

Setup:

Servers from the DMZ need to (for which ever reason) reach other servers in the DMZ but using their public address. All the servers are to use a proxy address which is on the firewall and natted to the public IP. This is routed back to the firewall but doesnt go through the NAT rules again.

NAT rules:

In tracker is to see that the 1st translation comes through, but the second one is never hit? Any ideas?

We are running Provider 1 NGX R65 (VSX) on Nokia Platforms using NMDS 4.0

Default Re: Double NAT

The traffic will only go through the NAT process once. If you want the traffic to be src and dst nat then you would need to combine the two rules to do this.

Although automatic rules, will be combined if they apply. However this is only true when the NAT rules are automatic.
