Default NAT statistics

Hi All,

I have a simple question to ask. I have set up a NAT ruleon my firewall. I want to make sure that the original packet gets translated properly. Can someone advice how do I check logs for the translation process (ie original source changing to the translated source)

Regards,
Raj

Open up the Veiw Query Properties in SMARTView Tracker and ensure that xlatesrc and xlatedst are ticked. You can also select NAT Rule Number and Additional NAT Rule number if you want.

Thx for that. I already have those boxes ticked. I am wondering if there is a way by which I can view logs to see if the packet does get translated

If there's a value in the xlate_src or xlate_dst, then it's been translated by fwd. If you're still having NAT issues, you'll probably need to sniff the traffic and/or verify your routes and arps.
