Default Hide NAT outgoing connections to a dhcp external interface

Its just a basic setup with eth0 connected to a comcast modem which runs a dhcp relay and asigns public addresses to that interface. eth1 is my internal interface (192.168.1.1/24).

Now I'm trying to do HideNat on eth0 interface but when I set it to hide behind the gateway it uses 192.168.1.1(checkpoint firewall)s ip.

Is there any way to set it to nat all outgoing connections to the ip of the external interface?

Tom

Is eth0 defined as an external interface? I'm guessing you're using the gateway object for the hide-nat but do not have it defined as a dynamic IP address for the General Properties?

yes, eth0 is defined as the external interface, I am using a gateway object but its asigned a 192.168.1.1 address, if I try to change it my smartdashboard doesn't connect... I'm guessing you have to add seperate rules to allow smartdashboard to connect.

I will try changing the gateway object to dynamic

Have you tried to use the Dynamic Object "LocalMachine"?
