Default NGX R60 Connection dropping

Sometimes when connecting through an adsl router the Status reads "Waiting (network interface down) and after 3 minutes the connection drops with a system tray popup saying "ip address has changed VPN-1 SecureClient disconnected". This will happen randomly with no pattern as such to it. Other times I can connect and leave the connection open all day without this occuring. With a dialup modem I can connect everytime.

I have went through disabling the adsl router firewall but the same problem is still apparent. Any ideas???

If you ADSL router is set for DHCP and the IP address from your ISP changes then you may get this problem as the VPN will not be from the same IP address.

What are you connecting to? Is it a VPN-1 gateway or a Safe@Office box?

I've only seen this with the Safe@ boxes, but it sould be fixed there with the current firmware (6.0.46).

Its a VPN-1 Gateway that I'm connecting to - I've went back and installed SecureClient R56 which can connect ever time without the 3 minute disconnection problem - thing I have noticed is that SecureClient R56 under the Connection Details tab - Tunnel Properties General - "IP Compression" is "Yes" where as under NGX60 its "No"
