Default Desktop Policy is missing

Hi All,

VPN-1 NG AI (R55)
Policy server running SmartCenter on Win2k3 (R55 build 607)
Enforcemet module VPN-1 on SPLAT (R55 of course)

We are migrating away from this VPN gateway (it's a dedicated device) to the corporate perimeter firewall (FW-1 for site-to-site, DMZ, and inbound/outbound traffic management) which uses SmartCenter Pro. So we got an eval license from the kind sales people to install on the current VPN-1 systems (to test functionality of the smartcenter PRO and such).

I went to verify my desktop security policy today... and it's missing. I've gone over all the settings, and I can't figure out why/what has made it disappear. The tab simply isn't there. I have Security, Address Translation, SmartDefense, and VPN Manager.

It has been a LONG time since I used this tab, so my memory may be fuzzy...but isn't there normally a fifth tab for Desktop Security? For the users Secure Client policy? Am I losing my mind, or has something really happened here?

Check components selected under you Firewall object properties. Policy server must be selected.

Thanks Sergej! Still have an issue though.

When I go to Manage > Network Objects > Check Points I can see my Firewall and my Management Station.

When I edit the FW, the types that are checked = Firewall, VPN, SecureClient Policy Server, and SVN Foundation (grayed out).

When I edit the Management system, the items checked are Primary Management Station, SVN Foundation, and Log Server. It's noteworthy that SecureClient Policy Server, SecureClient Software Distribution Server, Primary Management Station, and SVN Foundation are all grayed out, and I can't select or deselect them.

I'm thinking this might be due to my having applied the NG AI Eval License (allowing SmartDirectory until we migrate). Any thoughts?

Try to copy Desktop Policy "File -> Copy Policy to Package" from SmartDashboard. May be in new Package this policy would be exist.

Or Create new Package, copy there Security Policy and Create new Desktop Policy.

The eval license should turn on all the firewall features, so I doubt it's a license problem. Kva's sugestion sounds right to me.
