Default Questions about HFA 17

We run SPLAT with HFA14 since our original install and I was wondering, since the onsite support is no longer available, whether we'd be advantaged by applying HFA17 by ourselves. We also have the VPN module and about a dozen secureclient's. They've experienced some dropouts from time to time, but basically everythings been going fine.

Do I leave well alone... or follow the recommended path of keeping up with hotfixes? Also, i'm probably stating the obvious, but does 'accumulator' mean that they're culmulative fixes?

HFA17 contains all previous fixes from early HFA. You can see all fixes into HFA in Release Notes for this HFA.
