Unexplained Event

Can anyone explain why the following situation arose?

Myself and my colleagues were unable to log onto any of the SmartCentre applications. We were presented with an error message indicating that access was denied.
A cpstop and cpstart was performed whereupon we were able to log in again but only after accepting a new fingerprint ID that was presented. There is nothing shown on the firewall audit log or system event log as to why this situation occurred.

For information, we are running Firewall-1 NG AI (R54)

This doesn't sound good. The fingerprint should never change by itself, you need to do a sic_rest for it change (or a new install).

Sounds to me like someone was playing with your install...Or did the IP address change and the fingerprint was matched to a different IP address?
