Hello Everyone, Another question. I downloaded the cp merge utility and extracted the 2 files on my windows pc. I then ftp'd both files onto the Nokia IP330 box in /var/admin directory. I then logged onto console vt100 and entered my admin credentials. When I try running cp_merge export_policy I receive the error message "CP_merge: command not found". The command is executed in bootmanager at admin command prompt. What am I doing wrong? I need to export the objects from this box and then import them to another nokia (ip350) running the same software. Thank you.

As the /var/admin directory is not in the path of the appliance, you will probably have to run the command with ./ preceeding it. For example: ./cp_merge export_policy

Thank you once again Lakie. However, I now receive an error message of "persmission is denied" - despite being logged in as admin? Should I stop the cp products? I've checked and no one else is connected to the firewall with the smartdashboard. Furthermore, the command was run on our live firewall with the test param (-t). Thanks for all the help.

This will make the program executable. |

Thank you to both 'Lackie' and 'ChillyJim'. Both suggestions worked. My approach was; 1] Copy the objects.c file from the live box to the new machine into /var/admin. This is the same place where I had extracted the cp_merge utility. 2] Ran the command suggested by chillyjim. 3] Ran the command suggested by Lackie. I achieved this inconjunction with Checkpoints 'lacklustre' cp_merge utility! Thank you all once again.
