| Hello, Currently I can only control my CP firewall using the SmartClient tools from 1 specific IP on my network. I would like to make it possible for other IP address (or even ranges) to be able to administer the firewall with the SmartClient tools (provided they have the right user certificates of course). I cannot seem to find where I can configure from which IP addresses a given administrator is allowed to connect. I have made a rule to allow CPMI traffic from the host I am testing from to the firewall. When I correct with a valid certificate and the correct password I get: " Connectoin cannot be initiated. Please make sure that the Server '<ip_of_server>' is up and running and that you are defined as a GUI Client. " So I need to define that host as a "GUI Client". Can anyone tell me where I might find how to do that? thanks & regards, Kevin |

| I just found that CP's SecureKnowledge database #sk12120 contains the info I need. EDIT: You can run cpconfig on the management server or (on Secure Platform) use the webinterface. Last edited by Huisje; 2006-01-19 at 08:05. |
