Default 802.1q vlan on Windows
I have tried to use 802.1q vlans with Intel and HP NICs with no success "blue screen". It was not supported under w2k with NG FP3, I guess nothing have changed?
Anyone out there who has another experience with this?

NGX hfa01, CP-Express, ClusterXL, HA New Mode on Win2003.

VLAN tagging is not supported on windows platforms, confirmed by Checkpoint.

I'm using VLANs on Windows2000 and CheckPoint AI_55 for 2 years. Everything works fine. The only problem is blue screens time to time if trying to configure new VLAN without cpstop.
I'm using HP Proliant network config tool for VLAN configuration. Always update you NIC with recent drivers.

This is not supported by CheckPoint officially.

802.1q is not officially supported on Windows as windows doesn't natively support it. Move to SecurePlatform and it will save you a lot of grief.

I heard some success stories about Windows NT combined with NG FP1 and Intel VLAN.
Hmm maybe it’s worth trying some other nics, Move to SPLAT or another OS is unfortunately not an option.

The Intel cards are probably your best bet to get something working. I've had by far the best luck with pro/1000X cards of anything I've used.

Intel PRO/1000 MT Quad
HP NC7782 Gigabit adapter
DGE-550T D-Link Gigabit

Same shit different card, none of them works.

What drivers you are using to configure VLANS? What Windows version? I tried under Intel Pro 100 and HP Gig adapters and everything was fine.
