Default How did I become Senior member?

I would like to know how I became "senior member" in this community.
My expertise is nowhere near "senior" status. How can I change my
status to just either "junior member" or "member"? Thanks.

It's usually based on post count.. Once you reach a certain number of posts, your status changes...

You're being too modest. You seem to have a lot of well-rounded experience in different systems. You also are an active participant and I've learned a lot from you here and in other forums on a variety of subjects.

Any other decent forums besides here and the cp forums?

And I agree, you seem to be pretty knowledgeable to me...

Yep, what they said... too modest. Interoperability is important and it is very clear that you have broad skills.

The Check Point mailing list is fairly active although I haven't gotten a single message in the past couple of days. Maybe it's broke.

The FW-1 Gurus moderated mailing list is still around but not very active. A few messages a day on average.

This really has become the place for a lot of participation and fast responses.

I wonder if comp.security.firewalls on usenet is active at all.. Have not checked in there for quite a long time...

So far I'd agree, this is the best resource I know of, thanks to people like yourself and ccie...

comp.security.firewalls is still active. I check it once or twice a week. The Check Point UseNet one only gets a few messages a month if that. The other one gets more.
