Default Packet drop while installing the policy.. plz help

Dear Frnds,
We have NGX R60 Smart center server on windows 2000 server and Nortel Alteon running as enforcement gateway. Whenever we install the policy over checkpoint, we face a packet drop.
We have already set the connection persistance setting to keep all connections. Please suggest if someone have faced a similar issue earlier.

Thanks
Abhishek

If I'm seeing this right, you are using OSE to deploy a policy to some Nortell device. It's not your traditional firewall-1 module.

I'm not familiar with OSE really, but I wouldn't be surprised if that is just the way it works. You are basically pushing a new config to the device when you install the policy.

When I tested this to cisco, LONG time ago, this was just telnet and dump ACLs (if I remember correctly).

Hi Marol,

Please suggest if the is any work around.

Thanks

Sorry, I'm not very familiar with OSE, so I have no idea if there might be someway to change that behavior.
