| Hi all, I've got a Check Point Firewall 1 R55. One of my lan client had to connect on a foreign FTP. The port of the FTP is 5005 and not 21. So I open a rule with this port. The rule is good, my client had the rights to initialise the connection. But It's hang and the listing of directories doesn't work. I try to open a FULL acces to the client and it's work. I think i've forget something but I don't know what :( Thank you for your help. |

| The connection back (port 20) is probably being blocked. Go to the service you created for port 5005, go "Advanced", click the "Protocol type" drop-down and select FTP. Another thing you can do to try and get around the problem is to issue the command "pasv" as soon as you log into the ftp server, so you use passive FTP. Some good info here: link |
