Default Block web site

I wanted to know if there is a better way of blocking some web sites in the Smart Dashboard, rather than blocking it by their IP. I tried looking through the help files but they didnt point out anything specific. I am using NGX R60. I was looking into blocking some web sites that are being used and unrealted to work, etc. Please let me know.

Thanks.

The better way would be to block websites on your Webproxy (Webwasher, Trend Micro and the likes.)

If you still want to do this with your firewall, search this forum for domain objects or URI resource objects, there were some recent topics. Then block all traffic to these objects.

Hi
Well there are URI solutions that can be integraetd with Checkpoint Solution for content filtering, Cehckpoint is a dedicated Firewall+VPN solution but not a content filtering solution.
So I would recommed you WEBSENSE.Its a very good content filtering solution, you can apply policy based on workstation, Network, User(If you integrate it with Active Directory). There are more than 15 million sites in its database that you can block and permit.you can control any type of traffic with the solution.
Goto the websense site and have look.Even you can take care demo regarding the solution also.

I hope this will help you.
If you have any query please let me know.

Regards
Ranjit
