Empty ACK Attack?

We're experiencing an on again, off again empty ACK attack of sorts.

I've edited this because this seems to be a symptom of another problem, not the actual problem.

Could you please elaborate your issue so that we can find the resolution.Generally this is related to attaks so kindly provide some information what do you see in logs and what kind of attacks these are and from where do you got the info regarding attacks.
so that we can enable those attacks in smartdefence and attacks cen be defended.
