Hi guys, We´ve got an IP300 Nokia box with 256mb RAM , in Voyager > Monitor it´s showing the Memory Utilization like this: Total Real Memory 262144 Active Real Memory 253428 Free Memory 8716 Should I be concerned that there´s only 8mb Free RAM available ? Thanks a lot guys! robori __________________ CCSE NGX, CCNA, MCSE 2k, LPIc1, ITIL-F

Unix/Linux Boxes use as much memory as possible. It is part of the way the OS works by loading as much into memory as possible. If you put more memory in then it will use as much of that as possible. Nothing to worry about, unless you want to stick NGX onto the box as I personally find less then 512Mb for NGX too slow. Or maybe it's me just being impatient.

Thanks for your comments. I've checked another IP300 box I have with the same amount of RAM (256mb) and it has 35mb free. Maybe this box with 8mb free RAM has a process running that it's consuming RAM. Thank you __________________ CCSE NGX, CCNA, MCSE 2k, LPIc1, ITIL-F
