Default "the changes could not be saved"

For some reason i am getting the following message when i try and do a save or install a policy from the SmartDashboard:

"The changes could not be saved
Please make sure that the Firewall-1 services are up and running
For more information use the SmartView Status application"

I can install the policy if i dont make any changes but if i change the policy and try and save or install i get the above message.

I have Nokia IP330 with CheckPoint NG R55

Any help would be appreciated. I have searched the Tech articles on Checkpoint's site but nothing is returned.

Hi,

Despite what the error message says this is usually indicative of a disk space issue on either the enforcement point (unlikely) in this case your Nokia or the management server where you are most likely logging.

I have the checkpoint article number on this error message somewhere. But it is pretty much a space issue somewhere.

Just roll your logs and then purge the older ones if you do not need to keep them at all.
