Default Cleaning up /var on SPLAT

I'm trying to clean up the /var partition on my SPLAT, I offloaded a bunch of the log files onto the NAS. The question is can I now simply rm the .log, .logptr, .logaccountptr or is there a cleaner way to do this from the SmartDashboard or what not?

Also if anyone has any tips for keeping /var clean, I'm all ears. It looks like there' some stuff from previous revisions in there (I'm running NG R55) and I'd like to know what is safe to clean out.

Thanks a bunch.

AFAIK its safe to remove these rotated logs out from $FWDIR/log, I believe you need them all to view them so if you only moved the .log file then you won't be able to view the old logs.

We've scripted the rotation of logs....

Not sure here. I think if you clean up the older log files you should be able to leave this alone.
