Default High interrupts %

We have IP 530 with IPSO 3.8 and NG AI R55 loaded.

We have been experiencing high CPU utilization (reported by SmartView Status). On closer examination, the Voyager CPU Utilization Report indicates that the interrupt is high and hence the high CPU utilization. I did a "ps -awux" on the IP530 and the highest CPU% belongs to fwd (10%) and cpd (3%). The statistics on the firewall interfaces all looks normal.

I think the problem lies somewhere on the network where certain traffic is causing high interrupts on the firewall. Is there a way to pinpoint where this failed communication is occuring? The switches that the firewall interfaces connected to all have low utilization.

I am having the same problem with IPSO 3.9 Build35 with Checkpoint NGX. Were you able to find a solution to this?

Thanks,
Jennifer

We had a similar issue so I turned down my smartdefense monitoring and the CPU utilization went back to normal. We had turned on "Monitor Only" within SmartDefense prior to our upgrade.
